In just a few weeks, SVU blog will celebrate three years of doing whatever it is that I am doing. During that time, I have been the beneficiary of suggestions from those already in the trenches (and from some folks who are not!).

Through all that, Kurt Harden has been an ongoing mentor and blogging buddy. He is smart, cultured, funny….and he smokes cigars. There are few people who I would rather have for a next door neighbor…unfortunately we are almost eight hundred miles apart.
I am not the only one who thinks that as it appears that Mr. Layman is moving to the neighborhood….lucky guy.
I made a pledge to myself that I was not going to watch TV Sunday or Monday and that I was not going to comment on the goings on in WDC.
I kept that pledge.
This morning, I read Kurt’s analysis and I said to myself, “This is too cogent not to share with my readers”.
