…And worth each and every one of them!
Missions Accomplished.
Megan is happily situated at Marquette University. It appears that everything is going well with her getting ready to start classes on Monday. Alicia and I were able to meet her roommates & their parents…each of them were as nice as can be.
On my way home, (Alicia flew in and out), I took a minor detour so I could check something else off my bucket list…visiting some guys I know in Newark, Ohio, and making a few new acquaintances in the process. (check out the Twitter column on this page)
I have said it before and I’ll say it again, I wish I had guys like these for neighbors.
Kurt from CulturalOffering was the host/coordinator for my visit and a fine host he was. I hope he makes another visit to the CSRA so I can reciprocate.
Kurt wrote about it, with picture here.
Steve Layman gave his opinion, with picture also.
After a few beers and cigars on the patio of The Beverage Source (Newark’s Power Broker watering hole), Kurt, Dan, (one of the guys who didn’t have a meeting last night, and a reader of this blog) and I went to dinner and continued our “deep, but not too deep” conversations.
It was only a few, brief hours….but we packed a lot into them….Thanks guys, it was great spending some face time with y’all.
More enlightening and enriching than any night in a long time; more fun than a barrel of monkeys! Thanks, Ray. A great pleasure to meet you.
