How time flies when you are having fun.
It has been almost a week with little opportunity or energy to engage with my online tribes. I underestimated the disintegration brought about by moving to another state and re-igniting your career.
Routines are lost, roadways and faces are unfamiliar, grocery stores don’t carry your favorite brands and items needed now are still buried deep in one of 40, still unopened packing boxes.
My wife is handling it all with the grace, energy and enthusiasm I had hoped for, smiling, while scouting out places for our needs. It seeems that each person we meet is nicer than the last one. Alicia describes it as Mayberry.
Yesterday, while I was at work she took a break from unpacking and went downtown to explore and she came accross the Wounded Minnow Saloon.
On the short list to become my #1 “Check-in” destination, we had a great evening which concluded with watching the sun set from our porch, (Still getting used to living at the Western edge of the time zone.)
We are working on getting some “internet reliability issues” cleared up and I look forward to being connected on a more regular basis.
Glad that you arrived safely. Finding your feet in a new place is always hard work but it seems you are doing fine.

My fear of moving would be finding a new barber, hate doing that.

After 4 moves of our own, I can feel the resettlement work in your post. It does pull the clan together.
