For the past three years, George Funeral Home & Cremation Center has been offering the use of our four, season tickets for the Augusta Greenjackets to area caregivers as a small way of saying thank you for the service they provide our community.
We also have one event each year where we invite those caregivers to join us for an evening on the party pavilion at Lake Olmstead Park. For that event, we highlight one organization and have someone from that group throw out the first pitch that night, courtesy of our ace sales rep, Marissa Ponzi.

Talk about caregivers?…Marissa makes a good event great. She is on top of her game and we are lucky to have her as our contact at the stadium. Thanks again for a great job!

This year, representing Cumberland Hills and Cumberland Village was Liz Neal. Liz brought some co-workers, friends and residents from Cumberland Village to watch her and to join over one hundred caregivers from several organizations for an evening of fun, food and friendship.
I did have to remind a few folks that talking about work was off limits that night, but that is what caregivers are like…always caring.
I took very few pictures this year as I wanted to spend time with our guests, but here is one photo of a few of the guests with a few of the staff. (remember, click on the picture to make it bigger)
Thank you so much Ray. It was an absolute pleasure taking care of you, your guests and family. Some of my best memories here in Augusta!
