Fifty Years and Still Burning

This is probably an anniversary that is better off left unrecognized, but fifty years is still fifty years and Centralia, PA still burns.

I visited this town on two occasions, both times driving a hearse, bringing former residents to their final, warm resting place. Back in the mid-1980’s, it was a very surreal place. I can only imagine what it is like today.
