This is an adaptation of something I saw on Linkedin a few days ago.
A young man was interviewing for a new position and the interviewer asked him how many years experience he had in one particular discipline?
“Ten” was the answer.
“Ten”? asked the interviewer. “But you are only 25 years old, how can you have ten years experience in this field?”
“Overtime” came the answer without hesitation.
That made me think about experience and what it means. Do we accumulate experience simply by throwing time at something or are we constantly learning and applying new ideas?
Do we have ten years of experience or simply one year, repeated ten times?

Nope.I can’t. Questions like this hurt my mind. The more I think the more it hurts!

No matter what experience someone has there are always young go getters who believe they can do things differently and better. Sometimes they are right, but an awful lot of time is wasted by ignoring previous proven experience.
