Well, Do You? (Opening Paragraphs)

shutupOpening Paragraph:

Have you ever been in a conversation with someone who made her point but just had to add a few other comments before letting it go? Or listened to a speaker who said,”In closing” about five times before he literally closed? Annoying, isn’t it? It’s also counterproductive.

From Do You Know How To Shut Up (and 51 other life lessons that will make you uncomfortable), by Michael Staver.

Monday commences with a 6am flight on American Airlines and I  figured that would be a good opportunity to re-read this book.

I’ve gotten to know Mike over the years, having worked with him in arranging  funeral services for two of his family members and making a few business introductions/recomendations on his behalf.  I first mentioned Mike here, What’s One Tenth of a Second Worth?

Mike is a smart, funny guy who uses stories from his own life to create his dynamic style.

Go to Mike’s website or search for Mike on YouTube.
