The Time Is Now

“Someday we old folks will use cursive writing as a secret code!”. . . unknown.

I think that time has already arrived.

Back in the ealy 1990’s, I was introduced to the  subtle joy of using a fountain pen to write a letter  and since then, you will rarely find me without one. (For those of you younger than 30, writing letters was a standard way of communicating before the advent of e-mail, text messages, Snapchat, Instagram, FB , et. al.)

Whenever I un-cap a pen in front of  someone, it’s like…wow! what is that?  It wasn’t that long ago that all students had one and used it daily.

Ah, simpler times and I’m sounding more like dad every day.

  3. I think that time may have arrived. I applied for a new passport and the woman behind the counter couldn’t read the neat cursive script on my 1949 birth certificate.
