A House Becomes A Home

Yesterday, I was communicating with someone and they made reference to that they would get back to me “After Christmas.” At that very moment,  It seemed like such a long time, but then  realized, it was less than 48 hours away.

The blur that is my normal life, screeched to a stop.

"Too excited and curious to not follow, but too scared to smile for a picture.

“Too excited and curious to not follow, but too scared to smile for a picture.

As I punch these words out, Megan is flying from Amsterdam to Atlanta, on her way back from a medical mission trip in Uganda. She will arrive in Michigan on Christmas morning.

Elissa just texted me that her first flight arrived safely in Atlanta and I’ll be waiting for her at South Bend airport(SBN) in a few hours. Elissa is a newly minted “power aunt.”

Our oldest daughter, Kelliann will be nursing this Christmas.. . and earning that “Nightime, Holiday Pay Differential”   Like her dad, she chose a profession that can’t shut down for the Holidays.
