That Time Of The Year

Having lived in South Carolina for the last twenty years, I am  used to Pine Trees.

Pine needles do not change color, except for brown, just before they fall.

I forgot what Fall  looks like against a bright, blue sky.

I was at a service yesterday at Riverside Cemetery in Dowagiac and took a picture of this beautiful tree in the process of changing color.

It  reminded of how beautiful nature can be.

Funnily enough I thought the same thing today when driving back from a service.

I also thought how odd that something that looked so beautiful was actually death showing its hand.

Only on trees could decomposition look so nice.
