A Look Back

Every once in a while, I remember that Thursdays are a time to look back.

Below is an image taken long before the day of cell phone photography.  It is a picture of the funeral home we currently live above, with some old-time livery.

The second floor bay windows you see,  open into our dining room and are the favorite place for the dogs to sit and watch the world go by.   The 2,300 sq ft of living space is more than enough for the two of us and yes, there have been several changes and modernizations (especially the cars), but it does have that comfortable, historic feel.

Anyone know enough about cars to date this photo?

What i think you’ve got there is (closest first) is a 1946 Dodge, a 65 series Cadillac ambulance/hearse (’37 – ’38) and 1940 Cadillac Superior ambulance/hearse. So sometime around the late forties.
