Those following this blog for any period of time know that I am a fan of singer/songwriter/guitarist, Steve Forbert.
Steve released his 17th studio recording today, in support of his upcoming European tour, or is it the other way around? I received my copy a week and a half ago and had been meaning to mention the album, but Complications kept me from the task. . . until this evening.
As I listened to Flying at Night for the first time while driving, I was reminded of Rocking Horse Head and Mission of The Crossroad Palms, two great CD’s from the mid-1990’s.
As I finished this post, I came accross this review that supports my opinion, which is that Flying at Night could be Steve’s best studio album in over ten years and old fans like me should delight in it, so go ahead and order it from his website.
The first video from the CD.
