It has been unusually hot and humid here. Not up to SC, summer standards, but close.
In the last five days, I have attended two events where the menu was an assortment of pulled-pork, corn bread, Brisket, banana puuddin’ , sweet tea and mac ‘n cheese. Those of you from the South understand that at least one of those items is a daily component of most Southern diets.
Concurrently, I have observed several Confederate flags during my travels in the “Great Southwest of Michigan.”
Maybe Charlie Daniels was right?
