Happy Birthday, Les

Les Paul, the  father of the electric guitar would have celebrated his 101st bithday today, had he not died in 2009.

Read about him here.

I was the proud owner of a 1976, Les Paul Custom, shown in the photo.  As I have been downsizing this past year, and have no players in the family to pass it on to,  I recently sold it to a collector from Lexington, SC.

The Gibson Les Paul, in it’s various versions has been  an instrument of choice  for decades.
