Maybe Next Year, Buddy

A three-year, family  tradition continued today.  The outcome, while  not what I expected, was acceptable.

We have been coming to the same resort for  family vacation for many years and  our daughters often brought  friends and now boyfriends to spend some time with us.

Three years ago, Cole and I started a little friendly table-tennis competition and this afternoon, we entered  the third year,  tied at one each.

I learned and became proficient in table tennis back during  the 1970’s while playing often in Tom McKeon’s basement. It was a skill that I somehow managed never to lose, even after forty years.

Guess who won today’s match?

I am way past the days when I would be seen in public shirtless.

Thanks for taking the photos, Elissa.
