Either that or my schizoid tendencies are returning.
A Quote: “What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; What we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal.. . . Albert Pike Who is Albert Pike you ask?
Switching gears somewhat, OK, from first gear to fith, one of my pet peaves is use of the term “giving back.” As I see it, the phrase implies that you were originally given something as opposed to earning it. “Giving back” for me, suggests a moral obligation and diminishes the idea of it being yours to give as you see fit. I’m all for “giving,” but do not ask me to “give back” because it wasn’t theirs in the first place. . . unless you are returning a lost puppy to a child. Then it is OK to give back.
Another Quote: “I swear by my life and my love of it that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.” . . . John Galt Who is John Galt you ask?
So ends today’s editorial comment. Time for bed.
