We have four, Black Labs about that size….lot’s of love and very little sadness as a result. As a matter of fact, sadness is dam near impossible, as long as you don’t hide in a closet.

A Simple, Village Undertaker 
We have a flat coat retriever (similar to black lab) and yes…it is impossible to be sad around this boy. All this 90 lb. ball of fur wants to do is sit at my side and love me and be loved by me. The sweetest dog I have ever known.

In tha regard, you are lucky because all ours like to do is drop tennis balls at our feet with the hope we will throw it for them. If we do that until they are exhausted, (more often we tire first) then they will come and sit by our side.
