Essential Mixes: Joe Walsh

Essential Mixes: Joe Walsh

Just the music…Joe has had a very long, interesting career.  In as much as I usually like to use “live” videos for my lists, in Joe’s case, the studio stuff just sounds better.

(Kurt, since I left the album and years off the list, you don’t need to pay me for this one.  It all started with Kurt, Essential Mixes.  This is not the up to date list, but the lists are easy to find on his blog.)

My Top 20:                          th

Life’s Been Good

Rocky Mountain Way     (Live from the Crossraods Festival, 2004)

Turn To Stone   (This, along with Falling Down are what turned me into a fan)

The Confessor  (A song used to compare speaker quality)

Help Me Through The Night

Rosewood Bitters

Falling Down

A Life of Illusion

I Can Play That Rock & Roll

Time Out

Walk Away     (From The James Gang years)

All Night Laundry Mat Blues

Good Man Down

Mother Says

All Night Long    (From the movie, Urban Cowboy)

Funk 49   (Another from The James Gang)

Slow Dancing  (probably my favorite JW song along with Falling Down)

Welcome to the Club

I.L.B.Ts is left off the list as it is not a hill worth dying on. It is however, Joe’s most  comical, socially unacceptable, politically incorrect, insensitive song and I’ll leave it at that.
