Imperfect X 2 = Perfect

I have heard it stated that “the perfect marriage is two, imperfect people who refuse to give up on each other”.

Whoever came up with that is very wise.     Image

There were times I  did not believe that to be true and while I am not in the  habit of making statements for Alicia on such matters, I think she might agree also.

Today, I known that statement to be true.

It was 29 years ago today that my wife and I said “I do” to each other at St. James Catholic Church in Basking Ridge, NJ.

Good times, bad times, happy times, sad times….but not giving up. Oh, and not to mention raising our three, beautiful daughters.

A toast  to putting up with me for the rest of the journey and whatever years we have left.

Well said! Jim and I totally agree. As he said once, “We’ve been married 20 years–best 13 years of our life!!” God can take two imperfect people and teach them how to stay committed to each other and how to love (action word) each other through everything life brings. I can’t say enough for really good marriage counseling either. We could do commercials for it! Happy Anniversary!

I like that definition! When a marriage is strong 29 years seems to go by so quickly! I hope there are many, many more happy anniversaries for you both!
