Throwing It Back

I had to save this for a Thursday.

One of the topics I often ponder is wondering what it would have been like to have everyone walking around with a computerized camera in their pockets in the 1970’s?

Taking pictures  was not as common as it is today and when you did, you had to wait to get the film developed…suspense.  That was long before preview, delete and re-take  as we do today.

On my last vist to my parents last month, I came accross this photo which I think was taken around 1974, give or take a few years.  One would think that someone who has been playing as long as I have would be better than I am and  I would not disagree.    

That’s me playing my Fender Mustang, a pretty basic electric guitar, made famous by the late Kurt Cobain. It was playing through a Fender, Princeton Reverb amp.

If I had kept both the guitar and amp, they both would be worth quite a bit, but I sold them to Philip Swanson a long time ago.

The blonde head you see is my sister Debbie, my mother is playing the organ and my other sister, Donna is looking on.

My memory isn’t what it used to be, but if I recall, there was only one song we used to play together: Spanish Eyes.
