Last week, I sent a little surprise back to Licking County with the Laymans.
I knew that Pat would appreciate the 1/32″ scale model of FDNY Ladder 10, also known as “Ten Truck” and since I had two…..
It was a no-brainer and he quickly reached out with gratitude.
Then today, I get a note from him with this screen shot, (see below)
I’ve never heard that skit, but will look for it later.
Since fire departments are part of the government, it is also a good illustration of how the government works….on a good day. BTW….Anyone know the difference between a fire truck and a fire engine? (Firefighters…and Pat are excluded)
A Simple, Village Undertaker 
That brings back a great memory. My father used to say, “I have a great joke for you. Why are fire engines red?” We would rack our brains for a few minutes trying to come up with the answer. They we would give up. He would say, “Because birds fly high.” We would think for a minute or two and then, “I don’t get it.” He would laugh at us and say, “Don’t you get it, because birds fly high!” We would spend the next hour trying to figure it out. He would get us every time.
