Thanks, Al

Last evening, Steve & Michele Layman came by for dinner as they made the treck from Newark, OH towards the hallowed grounds of the Augusta National for today’s action. It serves as  another example of how the CSRA and Licking County, OH work together as an incubator for life-long friendships. The initiative was started by Kurt Harden, here.

Here is a report from my visit to the heartland of America a few years ago.

Also present were my wife, Alicia and Doug and Trish Fine.

The Fines live in Augsta and the story is  that for the past few years, Steve has been mentioning that he wanted to  needed to attend The Masters.  Through some of Trish’s family connections, his dream has come true.

After a long day and an evening of frivolity.

After a long day and an evening of frivolity.

It was a good time last night and  I was  relieved to learn that my wife isn’t the only spouse who does not “get it” when it comes to  why us bloggers do what we do.  She’s in good company.

I prepared them for today by sharing the Pimento Cheese sandwhich that Elissa brought me back from the “Tunamint”.

Ths is not the first time the three of us got together…it’s becoming a habit….all because Algore invented the internet….Thanks, Al.

Just remember one thing, you can not keep them and have to send Steve and Michele back to Licking County, Ohio. We are not ready to get rid of them!
