Weekends?

I recall observing over the years that the majority of the working world looks forward to weekends as a time of relaxation and “getting away from it all”.

Not true in funeral service.

The perspective is off on this photo. To give you an idea about it's size, that flat part at the front is a queen size mattress and box spring. We were loading outside and a thunderstorm sprang up and I had to back the trailer in. I think I could fit my car on that trailer.

This past week and the upcoming week blended into each other as besides being on-call all weekend, we are helping #2 daughter move into her new apartment in Charlotte, NC, (130 miles away) completing the final (hopefully) edits for our new, SC Cremation Society website, having a three hour band rehersal, watching a college football game, going to church, returning the trailer I borrowed to move daughter and not to mention my normal list of weekend chores.

Not complaining, just sayin’.

Thus the reason I have not been prolific in the blogging category,

Please forgive me…and smile at this from Steve Layman.
