I have debated with myself for several hours as to whether I should post this or not.
I lost the the debate.
Taking no credit for what is below, I want to shine a light on the lights of my life.
Each gave me a Father’s Day card. Each wrote a short message within the card. None of them knew about what I wrote to my father in A Lesson & A Letter.
How fortunate I am.
From the oldest to the youngest…..
“Thanks for being our “go to guy”. When in doubt, call dad. I appreciate all you do for us. Thanks for setting high standards for us and never settling for anything less than the best. I have a feeling that “call dad” will be used even after we are married…just seems right. Love, Kelliann.
“I hope your day is as special as you are. Thank you for everything you do. I don’t know what I would do without a father like you. Enjoy your day. I love you, Jelly”
“Happy Father’s Day. Thanks for always pushing me to follow my dreams and for all that you do. Love you, Megan.”
I wrote about this song a few years ago.
I repeat again, with all that I have done wrong, I guess I must have done something right.
Every day is Father’s Day at my house….I am a lucky man.
They love their father! You are a lucky man.

Thank you. Considering it was not very long ago that I lived in a world of rolling eyes, hissy-fits and lectures how I was ruining their lives, yes, I am lucky…and there is hope for others.
