(Not to be confused with FPG, my employer)
I was reading my Twitter feed last night and came accross the cartoon and could not resist the temptation of pairing it up with this classic, Queen song.
I have never heard anyone sing that song as well as Freddie, but I have watched many try. (RIP Freddie).
I hate to pop your bubble…but…well, at least for the U.S., they don’t cover physics with schoolchildren…conventional or otherwise. Only really smart kids in upper high school classes get that. And now that much has been said, that has me wondering if those big corporations which push skinny jeans, energy drinks, and fake sweeteners are the reason for the odd new (controversial/morally debatable) ‘core curriculae’ replacing health education…? A person’s mental health would be part of that…poor personal body image and eating disorders, etc. are therefore not part of a child’s learning and education here. If there is to be a place for THAT, it usually happens as an after-the-fact, post-crisis, or interventional program…when, basically…it’s too late to avoid lifetime scarring or traumatic impact.
I completely agree with you. I have FOREVER been self-conscious of my 5’1.5″ ht. and short stubby legs..my butt isn’t tiny…I am not pencil-thin nor am I obese. So I made do with what I have, sharpen my brain as much as possible, and have a winning personality to cover those weaker, physically less optimum qualities! If you can love yourself and accept yourself you can make your own world go ’round, making lots of friends, who love you just as you are, with each spin. 😉
The commercial examples of statuesque beauties with super-thin, long legs and perfectly sculpted breasts and butts have long been the bane of my Slavic, stocky existence. I don’t think that will go away, socially, as long as there are starlets and celebs perpetrating the myth that they have all the things that make ‘ the world go ’round.’
