I just got back from a brief visit to meet with some of the leaders in my company at our home office in Orlando. It was my first trip to the actual office building and it was nice to meet some of the folks I often talk to.
As I was making the final leg from CLT to AGS in a Dash-8, it was late in the afternoon and we were flying over a deck of puffy clouds as we headed home into the setting sun.
The otherwise smooth ride became a bit choppy as we decescended throught the cloud deck. We came in from the Northeast, flying over North Augusta, (SC), downtown Augusta and then into the airport.
When the wind is from the North, you fly in and if you are on the right side (starboard) side of the plane, you can see as we fly parallel to the airport and as soon as we pass it, we go into a pretty steep, banked approach to land. It is always fun coming from that direction.
Anyway, it’s great to be back home and I just wanted to share a few photos from the ride home.
