A Novel Idea

I am a lucky guy, (forget what I wrote yesterday and the day before).

We do not celebrate Father’s Day in my house because every day is Father’s Day for me. That being said, over a decade ago, my daughters pitched in and bought me a present that I set aside and forgot about….until this evening when I came across it while looking for something else. Image 21

It is a book of “Dad Gets His Way” tickets…80 Non-ignorable tickets.

Four each of:

Dad gets his favorite meal
Dad gets gas put in his car
Dad gets his car washed
Dad gets all the change back
Dad gets the trash taken out
Dad gets to pick the radio station
Dad gets to sleep in
Dad gets to pick the restaurant
Dad gets the last piece
Dad gets to pick the movie
Dad gets the remote control
Dad gets a nap
Dad gets silence in the car
Dad gets a night out with the guys
Dad gets a Hug
Dad gets the phone
Dad gets the computer
Go ask your mother
Because I said so
Dad gets_________

You can tell it has a few years on it and is a little dated. My girls treat me well and I don’t have to use tickets to get my way…well, at least most of the time.

Just another reminder of how lucky I really am. I’m putting it back in the drawer….
