Reality Check

Yesterday, I wrote a post about getting through your children’s teenage years and coming out the other end intact.

I prefer not to start my day with tears streaming down my face, but alas, today I do….and it’s David’s fault…but thank you and it is a little extra fitting that tomorrow is Veteran’s Day.

I cannot begin to fathom what it must have been like writing this Letter to my son. Nor can I appreciate the son’s perspective.

Interesting note: When I read the e-mail version of this, the video link did not show up, but when I went to the page to save the link, it was there….forget reading the letter, just watch the video.

Yes, children are capable of paying attention….Reality Check.

  1. J & P says:

UH OH…..the waterworks have started! That was beautiful. As I have mentioned before, my daddy was Veterans Service Officer for York County and my life growing up was spent around activities for veterans. I will always have a special place in my heart for our veterans. Happy Veterans Day to all our military men and women. God bless them.

  2. Thank you Ray. I was similarly moved by the film…the words, the voice, the photos, all of it.
