Revert

Revert…that is my suggestion to the folks at the Augusta National, (I know they will see this)

Revert to the old, pimento cheese sandwich.

A little soggy and not as good as I remembered it.

I mentioned yesterday that there was some local news being made about those famous, $1.50 sandwiches.

Jelly and LC brought one home for me and my prediction about how it would arrive was spot on, (click on the link above)

They arrived back home at 9pm…wet, cold, hungry and excited about what they had just experienced.

I fed them again, they changed into dry clothes and then were on their way back to Columbia.

After being at 18 for almost four hours in the rain, they still had their sense of humor.

There is something about The Masters that is transforming…even if you are not a golfer, which I am not. The tournament played out as I believe it was intended…high drama and competition up until the last stroke. Two friends and team mates, Adam and Angel…fighting for the green jacket and hugging as friends and team mates would after the battle was over…real class.

It is a magical week around here and you do not actually have to get to the tournament to experience it.

Now it is over and we wait for the next big event….college football. Go Cocks.

  2. I was always partial to the egg salad sandwich … and something about those green wrappers was thrilling.
