A Good Day

Spent Saturday in Spartanburg, SC with Megan…in her coaching debut. The lead-up can be read here.

My daughter has much more patience than I do.

This was literally the first time these 9-12 year old girls had donned a VB uniform and Megan had to “coach” them through each play and gently correct and instruct as needed…which was continuously.

I would have been done after twenty minutes…she held in there for six hours.

I could not help but observe a new level of maturity in our daughter. (she never checked her cell phone the entire time there…had 57 messages waiting for her…that is self-discipline!). As coach, she had several responsibilities and she effectively juggled them all.

While there, I received word from home that a long awaited letter arrived from Milwaukee. Megan has been accepted to her first choice school. Now the fun really begins.

I like the comment in the lower, left corner.

A great day, all around.
