The Audacity of Smoke

I suppose that most blogs will feature an article referencing Independence Day. I was resisting the temptation until I read what Kurt Harden had to say about it.

A “Jumbo” Flag flies just after daybreak at Augusta Regional Airport, AGS last week.

Personally, I never got a charge out of fireworks, (maybe because of all the mishaps I have responded to over the years with fire/EMS) and I probably have not lit a match to a fuse since I was a teen. That being said, tonight will be the first night in several years that I will not be part of the ADPS Fire Division team assigned to stand by at the fireworks at The Reserve Club at Woodside Plantation. Standing within a few feet of where a five thousand shell show is being shot is a stimulating and sometimes unnerving experience to say the lease

Alas, I digress.

Click on the link. The Audacity of Smoke. Look at the cute pictures, but please read and remember, the thirty-three words at the end.

I could not have said it better myself…Thanks Kurt.
