A Citrus Moment

Almost a year ago, I wrote about our friends, Jim & Cathy who came over for dinner and brought a few limes that were grown in their yard. Read about it here.

The other day, Alicia went over to visit Cathy and came back with a lime for me. I’ve been enjoying it all afternoon as I have consumed about a half gallon of lime-flovored ice water.

After years of waiting, we finally have limes.

A few minutes ago I remembered our lime tree, which is tucked in a corner of our yard that I rarely see. I walked out there and to my surprise, there were five, golf ball size limes on the tree!

This is the first time the tree has ever produced to this extent and I will now need to pay closer attention.

In a world of complications, it is little events like this that make me smile.

Go Cocks!

Now if only the Gamecocks beat Vandy this evening….
