Tuesdays and Thursdays are “Volleyball Days”, at least for the first few weeks of the school year. Yesterday took the Aquinas Lady Irish to Evans High School for a Match they split, losing to Evans, but beating AR Johnson.
Lighting was bad and my camera isn’t designed for inside, sports action, but here are a few….
A couple of the dads get to come to the games and it’s always fun to chat with them. Dan Gates is the president and program coordinator for AirMed, located in Augusta, GA. In my opinion, it is pretty much the best job in the world. readers may recall a post I did back in January entitled Live from AIRMED
As I am not able to spend as much time in emergency services as I used to, Dan helps me stay plugged in to what is happening in the area and it is always interesting to hear his perspectives.
Volleyball was my sport of choice growing up. I played from grades 6 – 12 and then on a co-ed league a few years after graduatng from high school. Those were some of my best memories, being on the court and going for the “dig”. Enjoy the games, and your daughter.
