Just talked to my cousin in CLifton, NJ…just a few miles from NYC and the coast. They are hunkered in and getting ready for the arrival of Hurricane Irene.
Not much they can do at this point other than ride the storm out. Here is to all my friends and relatives who are in the path of the storm. I will pray for you tonight at Adoration and I look forward to hearing your stories when she moves up into Canada.
Ridin’ The Storm Out was the first REO Speedwagon song I remember. I was thirteen years old when it came out and I was babysitting a neighbor’s son on a Saturday night and REO was on Don Kirshner’s Rock Concert and they played the song….I’ll never forget that night. This version is taken off the “You Get What You Play For“, Live, double LP.
And since some of my buddies are talking about the best LP’s ever produced, one needs to consider this one.
