Scotch Pronunciation Guide

Rob Firchau, author of The Hammock Papers posted an entry entitled, Scotch..a pronunciation guide.

He caught my eye with his recommendation regarding my favorite, single malt Scotch….Laphroaig.

Some folks will tell you it tastes like iodine or a pile of peat moss…but for me, it is “honeydew vine water”.

Laphroaig is definitely not a scotch for sissies….or one that you want to be your first taste of the golden spirit. I am going up to visit my parents later this week and my father and I will surely listen to this lesson with a bottle of at least one of those described, on the table between us. Slainte.

(I cannot believe that I beat Kurt to re-blogging this)
