Steve Felix

I came across this quote yesterday while reading Steve Felix’s blog:

“Business has always suffered from the problem of the urgent driving out the important.”

Credited to The Korn Ferry Institute Briefings

How true that is.

In our personal lives and business lives, we often spend our time putting out fires or putting bandaids on things, and we lose the time to do the important things, like nurturing and developing. The short-term benefits may appear attractive, but the long-term effects are insidious.

Steve appears to be a giant in the world of global real estate and I look forward to reading his blog, On The Road with Steve Felix, even though I do not understand the vast majority of what he is describing.

He is interesting and I suppose that is how we get smarter….back to the saying that you will be the same person in five years that you are today, except for the books you read and the people you associate with.

I have never met him personally (yet), but I like associating with people like Steve Felix.
