The Debate

I did not watch the debate last night. I spent the evening on my front porch, enjoying a fine cigar and some single-malt scotch with a friend of mine. We talked and solved many of the world’s problems, but did not discuss much politics.

When he left a little after ten, I turned on the TV and they were shaking hands when it was just ended. A quick glance at my Twitter feed indicated I may have missed something monumental.

The challenge I see however is that many of the citizenry that plan to vote for the President probably did not watch the debate last night. They do not appear to care, as long they get their “Obama, free sh*t”.

Maybe it is time to start paying attention.

Here is a story from The American Spectator blog: Obama Will Not Survive The Debates. The analogy is wonderful.

The folks in the main stream media were not so pleased.

Bill Maher, a million dollar contributor to the President tweeted “I can’t believe I’m saying this, but Obama looks like he DOES need a teleprompter” and “Obama made a lot of great points tonight. Unfortunately, most of them were for Romney.”

I wonder how David Axelrod slept last night?

Chris Matthews, apparently did not have the thrill running up his leg last night either.

One Response to The Debate

  1. Phyllis Loftis says:

Romney exuded confidence last night, energized, well prepared and came across very sure of himself. Obama was just the opposite…..looked down most of the time, very sour, he seemed unprepared and very uncomfortable. I know he was glad when it was over.
