Fireball XL5 was an “action” TV show from my very early childhood. Additionally, as best as I can remember back forty five years or so, it was the first TV show that I watched where I also had the toy…a replica of the rocket, maybe 2′ long…the stages separated and everything…it was a very cool toy…back in the mid-twentieth century.

These days, when I think of “Fireball”, I am thinking about the 1974 hit song, “Fireball Express“, by you guessed it, The Good Rats. Caution: “Fireball” is not the typical, easy listening song I usually post on Sundays. But as Steve and/or Kurt would say….Volume Up.
