With all the recent articles abut my daughters and other families, I was struck this morning that I never posted this song before now.
I remember Kelliann, now 24, playing it for me for the first time when the song was a hit. We decided that it would be the song we danced to at her wedding. Even today, when I call her, this song is the ringback tone.
It may or may not be the first song, as I cannot listen to it without sobbing…literally. (It doesn’t take much for me to shed a tear and I am dripping precariously close to my keyboard now).
Anyway, written by Bob Carlisle, inspired by God, to help fathers and daughters to stay close.
Ray, my reaction to this song it squarely aligned with you. Beautiful song. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you liked it, David….we hold the same ideals important.
This song always makes me cry too! Haven’t heard it in years. If we should be at Kelliann’s wedding, I would be on the sidelines sobbing with you!
Another one that makes me cry every single time I hear it is “Christmas Shoes”!
