We had a spirited family discussion this evening after dinner…all my women….wife and three daughters discussing dating, responsibility, chastity and seeing how far they can push the only man in the house before dad loses his mind. In reality, it was a great evening and with Elissa staying in Columba, Kelliann going to school and working and Megan never staying still for more than thirty seconds, these kinds of discussions have sadly become rare events.
We will probably remember tonight years to come.
I asked the girls to send me a few links to songs they like, that I probably have not yet heard.
Here is the first one from Elissa.
I started listening to Train in 2003 and have seen them a few times, with Elissa. I like the earlier music better than the the newer stuff, but this song reminds me the vintage lyrics I know so well.
After hearing this song, I pulled up the fifty ways from my younger days and Paul Simon
It was a great evening and the house is now quiet….I miss the noise.
Our house is full of energy every day with our three daughters. I always think I would love some quiet time alone, but then when I get some, I miss them. Such is life.
