What Happened?

Here is today’s headline in The Aiken Standard: Gas Still Cheapest in State

On Tuesday evening, I filled up my car at $2.80/gallon. Yesterday, I stopped at the same station on my way home yesterday and the price was $3.00/gallon.

This morning, I drove by that station and the price was $3.10!

A thirty cent (not four cents as the Aiken Standard cites) increase in four days?

What’s with that?
